4-6 unsalted Matzahs
2 sticks of soy butter or non-dairy margarine
1 cup brown sugar
3/4 cup semi-sweet chocolate, dark chocolate, or white chocolate (make sure they are non-dairy unless you wait 30 min after passover to eat dairy products)
Walnuts, Macadamias, Pistachios or slivered almonds
Step 1
Line a large (or two smaller) cookie sheet with tin foil. Place wax paper over the foil. Line the bottom of the cookie sheet evenly with the matzahs, cutting extra pieces, as required, to fit any spaces.
Step 2
In a saucepan, combine the butter and the brown sugar. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until the mixture comes to a boil. Boil for 3 minutes, stirring constantly. Remove from the heat and pour over the matzah, covering completely.
Step 3
Place the baking sheet in the oven for 15 min.
Step 4
.Remove from the oven and sprinkle with the chocolate. Let stand for 2 minutes, then spread the melted chocolate over the matzah. Chill in the freezer until set. Break into smaller pieces before serving.
